Content update from February 2026

IID IMAGES

Inclusion of IID images into standard trainings

After successfully launching the IID e-learning, training modules and assessments in 2D for the areas of CBS, HBS, Cargo, Mail and Air & Air Supply in September 2025, we now integrated IID images into our standard training libraries. This is in compliance with the EU regulations.

Users training on our shared hosted environments have immediate access to these images. Customers using a local installation should get in touch with customer relations (customerrelations@casra.ch) to schedule their individual content update.

The feedback pop-up window has been changed so that it reflects whether it’s an IED, an IID or an object that can be either.

Library update IID integration

CASRA standard libraries are updated on a regular basis. The respective updates will automatically be included in standard modules activated on customer’s training modules so far as no special settings have been activated. Changes are done based on several factors, including feedbacks left by users on individual images, market demands, newly detected threats, as well as technical changes implemented in XRT.

CBS Dual-View (2D)

* the 7108 threat images with the category IED/IID are created with 273 different objects, from which 221 are combined IED/IID.

Current category distribution

There are five different categories in the CBS modules: guns, knives, IEDs/IIDs and explosives

HBS Dual-View (2D)

 There is only one category in HBS containers: IEDs/IIDs (233 images are IIDs only).

Cargo Dual-View (2D)

There is only one category in Cargo containers: IEDs/IIDs (246 images are IIDs only).

Mail Dual-View (2D)

There is only one category in Mail containers: IEDs/IIDs (228 images are IIDs only).

CBS 3D

* out of 3’620 threat images, 182 are IIDs, 2’054 IEDs and 226 combined IEDs/IIDs
